Mental Health Practioner

Are you looking for support with your mental health? Our Mental Health Practitioner service is here to help.

How can we help you?

A Mental Health Practitioner can provide you with advice and guidance to help you find the right support for your needs. They can direct you to self-help resources, social prescribing, or onward referral to more specialist support from mental health services if necessary.

How do appointments work?

Appointments are just 20 minutes long and provide a warm and compassionate first point of contact for those seeking support. It is not a counseling service, but it is there to provide advice and guidance to help signpost you to the right support.

Who is eligible?

Our Mental Health Practitioner service is open to anyone seeking support for their mental health. You do not need a referral from your GP to access our service.

Please note that our Mental Health Practitioner service is not suitable for crisis or emergency situations. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please seek immediate help by contacting your local crisis team, calling 999, or visiting your nearest A&E department.

To schedule an appointment, please contact your practice, where our friendly Care Navigators are there to help you navigate the process with kindness and compassion.
