Being educated in your female health means you can better look after it and spot when something might be wrong. Every woman’s body is different, so being aware of what ‘normal’ is for you, will make issues easier to identify earlier on.

Things to remember about female health

  • Check your breasts regularly for any unusual lumps or pains, learn what is normal for you each month.
  • Anyone with a cervix aged 25-64 are able to, and should, have a cervical screening in Wales.
  • If you have unusual changes in your vaginal discharge, seek advice from your doctor or 111.
  • You can see your GP about painful or uncomfortable periods and menopause symptoms, if you are finding they interrupt your daily life.
